The practice of Yoga unites the body, breath and mind; and whilst focusing on stretching and strengthening the whole body, you will improve flexibility, posture, balance, muscle strength, and rejuvenate energy levels by helping to reduce stress and fatigue. Yoga may help to improve respiration, cardio, circulatory and digestive health, it is also proven to help reduce blood pressure, and maintain balanced weight and metabolism. Yoga has a profound effect on the nervous system by using gentle movement flow, as well as sustaining healthy levels of Dopamine and Serotonin; therefore ensuring a better state of relaxation, fitness and feeling more able to deal with the pressures that life sometimes puts on us. Regular practice on your mat, chair or standing, will support mental and physical wellbeing.
Meditation is a beneficial way to focus and quiet the mind, eventually reaching a higher level of awareness and inner calm. It is an ancient practice that is commonly recognised in today's society. Neurologists have found that regular meditation actually changes your brain in ways that can help to control emotions, enhance concentration, decrease stress, and even become more connected to those around you, and more importantly to yourself. In introducing or reintroducing yourself to meditation you begin your journey on the path of enlightenment and bliss; and with gentle practice you will be able to achieve a sense of tranquillity, focus, and peace in your life.
